There are no reviews of that drive listed, nor any supported media; I would steer clear, may be good for Mom's PC to backup her Quicken data .. or .. a really basic DVD ripping box, but you're not going to get the media support that a good NEC has. You'll be paying a bit more for the NEC, but you can use just about any disc in it.
