http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/25/bandn-nook-color-update-released-brings-froyo-apps-and-flash-w/
and you can get the update directly from Barnes & Noble here:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/nookcolor-support-software-update/379002520/
It'll be pushed over Wi-Fi over the next few weeks but, if you're the impatient type, well, there ya go.
As I still don't have one myself, I'd love to hear comments from owners if they do choose to apply this, obviously if any performance differences are noted - and I suspect it should perform much better with the improvements to memory and app management that Froyo brings to the party.
Note: if you watch the video FIRST, please understand that they admit in the text of the article that they were showing off a pre-release version of the Froyo build - not the final one which they're testing as of this morning, so it's expected that the final version which is now available should perform somewhat better. Not as much stuttering on the final, as compared to the build they were using when they made that video last week, as I understand it.
Why they didn't hold off on showing the final version in the video is beyond me, but... that's Engadget.
