ok i am new to building/toying with computers i know nnothing about intel stuff mostly smd but i came across a socket 478 pent 4 2.4 in the bottom of my closet would this be of any use? what is it capable of doing an what can it be used for? Thank you so much
 
i say jam it in a case full of drives, install linux and make it your own personal file server, either that or make it your spare work horse machine for encoding, torrents, other stuff you dont wanna tie your main box up with.
