noob vista/dualcore question.

i just installed Vista 64bit Ultimate Edition and was wondering if i need the AMD Dualcore drivers/optimizer patch like i did for windows XP. i dont want to try installing them if i dont need them

I wondered the samething. I figured Vista is pretty much optomized for dual core cpu's and I didn't install it... Been running vista on two different PC's, both with X2 processors and both without the optomizer and no problems. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I say.

I'm wondering the same thing for but Intel Dual Core. Is there a fix needed for Vista, or is that only an XP thing?
