im not a very avid gamer but would like to know what kind of video card i should get just to run games like CS, Half Life, or UT2003.
i was wondering if i should get an nvidia or ati.
p.s. my pockets arent that deep, im just wondering what i should get to run these games w/o a hitch

Look at the "Average Joe's Buying Decision" sticky at the top of the video card forum. That'll help you with your decision.
