Hey everyone.
Little bit confused as to whats going on in my system.

I have the
2600k
gigabyte z68 ud4 b3
gskill 1600 c7
corsair h70
gtx 580 asus direct cuII

I had it overclocked via easy tune 6 and had problems when it updated.
I reset bios to default, set the timings on the ram and uninstalled easy tune.

I ran Prime95 over night and i woke up to errors on some of the tests.
I have no real idea why or whats not working?
Any advice is appreciated
 
You are getting errors at stock settings? Best bet is to reset the BIOS to the optimized defaults, and see if you get errors with that. It sounds like you changed the RAM settings, which may be what is causing your problems, but we really need more info to help much.
 
What is the voltage you are running them at? The link says that is 1.6v ram and 1.5v is standard for the 1155 cpu's. They might be undervolted, but I'm not sure about running 1.6v on the 1155 socket.
 
prime95 has issues with sandy bridge and it is recommended to run something other than prime95. personally i suggest using intel burn test over prime95.

i don't think running 1.6v on the memory should be an issue..
 
I'd just set the RAM back to default and test it out first. It's not like the timings make much of a difference with Sandy Bridge anyway.
 
prime95 is been having problem's to the max for intel burn is a good choose I wish I had the Sandy Bridge
Z68 or P67 with i5-2500K I have to wait to save some money first
 
The ram set to default goes 9-9-9-28
And it was unstable at default.

Perhaps it is just prime 95 i will try intel burn and check the voltage of the ram now

* update i believe the ram is at 1.5 volt. Should increase to 1.6?

Try Linx or Intel Burn Test and see what happens. You could also try just using the machine a while and see if you have any problems. 1.5V should be enough for that RAM at the lower timings, but you could always drop it to 1333 to be sure. 1600 isn't really any faster than 1333 in real world anyway.

I think AIDA64 has a burn test as part of their free package also, so you could try that.
