Noob MOBO Help please

Hello,

So I just got done putting together my computer for the first time and I can't get anything to show up on the monitors when I power on the computer. I have the A8N32-SLI Deluxe. The green light comes on when I power up the computer...but nothing else happens. I have two 1gb Corsair DDR3200 LED sticks of RAM in slots A1 and B1 but the lights don't come on. One LED comes on on one of the sticks of RAM briefly, but then goes away. The fans on the two videocards (Geforce 7900GTX) start spinning (I also have the 6pin power connecters on the back of both GPUs)but I get no video. I am not sure if there are dead parts because this is my first time putting together a computer and my knowledge is limited. I tried to power on with no RAM once, and with no CPU once with the same results...no beeping from the motherboard. Also, my SAITEK LED keyboard that is plugged into the back on the motherboard does not light up. I have tried everything from using one videocard, to one stick of ram with not luck. I am thinking maybe I am doing something wrong with the power connections. I don't have the 4pin connected to the ATX12V, I have it in the EZPLUG slot right next to the main power connection from the PSU. Any advice guys?

I also only get one DVD drive to light up when I turn on the computer but I can't eject it or anything, does this have to do with the fact that I am turning on the computer for the first time and I have to configure the BIOS or something?

plug the yellow 12volt that goes at the top of ur mobo, then plug the ezplug. the ezplug is to make sure ur system has enough juice when u are running sli. basically 3 power connectors would be plugged in ur mobo.
1- the 24pin mainpower connector
2- the 12volt atx powerpin
3- ezplug.
and check ur connections on the power swtch, reset swtch, hdd light sometimes they go in the wrong pin.
 
you NEED the 4pin black and yellow in the ATX12V... isnt the EXPlug just a normal molex?

are your monitors hooked into the right ports on the graphics card? im pretty sure only one card can be used for display...

take out one graphics card and try incase my other suggestions dont work, also, try booting with one stick of ram, and try all the slots with each stick :)
 
thanks for the replies guys, I might be getting closer. I am still not sure if the motherboard is dead or not, it might have something to do with my PSU plugs or volt switches. My aspire 680w PSU switch (next to power switch) is set to 115..don't know if it is supposed to be there or 230. The main 20pin PSU connecter is plugged into the EZ Plug main power recepticle on the MOBO. The 4 pin (2 x 2 square) is connected in the remaining space on the main power recepticle. I tried stretching the 4 pin over and plugging it into the ATZ12V on the upper left portion of the MOBO but the pegs don't really align and the computer won't even power up with it plugged in there. Are there switches that I am missing or something? I get the green "On" on the motherboard no problem. I get both fans on the two video cards turning, indicating the GPUs are getting powered? The two Corsair LED RAM chips initially light up the middle orange LED when I power on the computer but they go away after about 10 seconds. I still get no video on my monitors. I don't know if the system is trying to boot or not. Since all of these parts are brand new, no OS or even installed drivers for the keyboard, I guess I don't know where to go from here.
 
In addition to my last post above, I have been reading other people's posts about possible DOA MOBOs and have another question. Some people find that their MOBOs are touching extra "stand off posts" which are shorting out the MOBO. What do they mean by "touching extra stand of posts"? Maybe my solution is that simple.
 
All is good now! I researched online all day and finally just took the computer apart again and built it step by step. I ended up not knowing that the "8-pin" connector on my PSU is really two 4-pins that you can separate. That pretty much did the trick.
