hello
i'm currently in the market for a new display, got myself a new pc (8880gtx) and now looking for a display to match it .
i'm running it on a samsung 997mb 19" crt at the moment, i was looking through reviews on this forum and cant really make my mind up if i should go lcd or not ...
i was pretty set on getting a asus mw221u but then i read some reviews stating it had (even with the 2ms grey2grey) some ghosting and the colors were off on it.
i would go for the dell 2407 but i'm just dreading the price tag (2x a 22" wide screen .. for just 2 extra inches) and i really dont wanna have ANY ghosting or lag on my monitor .. at all.

could someone here reasure me about the whole ghosting\lag on lcds ? and mybe help me with my choice on which one to get ? which 22 and which 24 give the best performance in gaming.
thnx, sunny.:)

Friend of mine has a 24" wide screen Samsung (don't know the model sorry) but I'm sure there isn't a lot of 24" Samsung. It's purely amazing and you should def check it out.

Most LCD's now a days have a low response to defeat ghosting (4-8ms is really good). Personally, I have an ancient 3 year old or so 17" Viewsonice VX700 and I never see ghosting at all and it has like 25ms or something so I don't get it... can someone tell me why mine doesn't ghost w/ such high response?

thnx for the reply, you really dont notice any ghosting ? that sounds funny .. never gamed on an lcd before so i havnt really seen any ghosting in person .. would be interesting to know if the whole ghosting issue isnt as bad as i thoght .. would make a whole bunch of other displays available for me to pick from

ghosting was a big problem back when 25ms and 16ms panels were the norm, now it's 8ms or lower is the game. I've not seen ghosting on any displays I've used that were made in the last 2 years, regardless of the penl technology employed in it's design.
