ok guys so i emailed jetway tech support and i went to their website, about my high temps, which they said theyve never seen as high temps as im getting. They told me to update the bios to the newer version.

How do i flash the bios, jetways website isnt exactly descriptive.

thanx for any help

5. Finish Auto Program BIOS , Going to "BIOS SETUP" , Select "LOAD SETUP DEFAULTS" , SAVE AND EXIT SETUP

wut does all that crap mean

and I cant run awdflash in windows right?
 
Don't know about running it from within windows as I always do this sort of thing from boot.

The part that you are confused about (since they seem to lack an English speaker at Jetway) is just saying boot from A: (with your Awarddisc) and run the program.

I ran into a problem though. I put Awflash.exe and A1GMPA03.bin on a floppy, disable the flash write protect and tried to boot from the floppy. I got an message saying:

NTLDR is missing
press any key to restart

so i press a key it doesnt restart and just keeps displaying that message. What does that mean

also i dont know how to back up my current bios.

How to back up the BIOS is in the How-to link above. I admit that I haven't backed mine up ever. If something goes wrong with a flash I end up buying a new BIOS from the manufacturer.

The NTLDR is missing error is caused when the computer is attempting to boot from a non-bootable floppy. Since you are trying to boot to the floppy, it is likely that the diskette does not have all the necessary files and/or is corrupt.

Try making it again, and make sure that you have it set to boot to floppy first in the BIOS.
 
ok so i tried remaking the disc and i still get the same problem
but i tried running awdflash.exe in windows and it opened up in a dos shell, i didnt have to guts to save it though in windows.

Is there any other way to flash the bios?

Saving it thru Windows poses no risk at all. When you are saving it you are just making a back-up copy, you aren't removing it. Since you are getting the errors on the boot disk....just save it thru Windows and then flash it thru Windows.

Winflash worked. Thanx for all your help. The ram dividers work and everything, well thats the only thing ive tried out so far.
