noob at overclocking. Anyone willing to lend their brain :D

hi everyone,
i was hoping someone could possibly help me overclock my processor. My specs are an x2 3800+ 939, dfi lp nf4 ultra, 2x512 ocz premier ddr400, 480w thermaltake silent purepower. I can get the processor to around 2.4 - 2.6 but i'm used to the overclocking where i can simply say "overclock by 20%"
the dfi mobo is a little more complicated and i was wondering if anyone could potentially lend their expertise to help an overclocking noob

I think Eclipse has a guide in his sig, just find a post in the Memory forum
