Non-Magnetic Center Speaker

Looking for a center speaker under 300. It should be powered and not magnetic (will sit on top of CRT monitor). It will be used with two LSR305 sides and a LSR310 sub.

Is there anything like this out there?
 
Speakers kinda need magnets in order to produce sound. Look for magnetically shielded speakers. It looks like the LSR305's are so just get another one?

Speakers do not necessarily need magnets at all. Most of my speakers are magnet free. But they cost a lot more than 300 bucks.

Yeah ESL's and Plasma tweeters don't need magnets but not really normal and sure as hell more than $300.
 
Magnetic shielding works fine too, you can place a speaker with shielding right next to a CRT.
 
Another vote for getting another LSR305. Shielded and you also really want your front three speakers to be matched to each other. Could look at wall mounting the speaker above the monitor as well.

Just if you're really strict, you'd need a DSP to even out the offset (of distance) if you mount one on the wall and the rest on the desk.
 
you invent the non magnetic speaker you let me know mmmmmmkay?
