Acronis has fucked over my system much less than PartitionMagic, but the current version cannot merge partitions. So far, using PartitionMagic, both my laptops have lived through partition merging, but it fucked up my older rig, and ate all the partitions on it. Acronis damaged my MFT once, but that was fixable, so I'd have to go with Acronis as the lesser of two evils. Oh yeah, it runs on Win2K3 too, that's the main reason I found it.
