Non-Bay 2.5" Mount Options

I'm looking for mounting options for 2.5" disks (not ssd) that don't involve drive bays, neither internal or external. So far I've come up with these...

Has anybody used this StarTech product? I read one review that said the mechanism was flimsy.

I like these better, especially the dual bracket model, but $15 is a little steep given the simplicity of the product. Their shipping is high too. I looked on ebay expecting to find similar items for $2-3. No dice. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms or something. I barely found any 2.5" mounting solutions, only the StarTech and at insane prices.

Any other unconventional 2.5" disk mounting solutions out there? Remember, no drive bays!

First, why are you so against using drive bays? Even if you are out of space in a current enclosure, you can use a Lian-Li mounting kit like this http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=559&cl_index=2&sc_index=5&ss_index=12 which will allow you to have 6 drives in 3 5.25" slots (4 3.5, 2 2.5). As to the Startech, I would sooner use double sided foam tape than use one of their crappy mounts.

Same idea, been looking for a dual 2.5" on a pci slot mount.

I did locate one, but no one is selling it

I have used the star tech, and it does feel flimsy depending on the case. It has no support in the case, so it flop side to side in the expansion slot.

I want the ability to put as many 3.5" drives in the case as possible. If there is room for a 3.5" drive, 3.5" cage, or a 5.25" to 3.5" backplane, I want to put 3.5" drives there!

That's the best one I've seen so far.

This next one isn't good for me but others might find it interesting. It's a PCIe SATA controller with mounts for two 2.5" drives. It's not exactly a new idea but it's cheap, PCIe, and SATA III.
