Bought this thing about 1.5yrs ago and it worked fine. Was using the family's comp then and worked fine and still does. Got a comp for myself and installed everything (and updated drivers) and when I open creative playcenter it says nomad zen is not connected. This is the firewire/usb 1.1 type. Since the NF7 doesnt have firewire I use the usb. The nomad detector says it is connected tho. Is this a problem with my NF7 because it works fine on my other comp which was recently upgraded (worked great before upgrade also). I emailed creative and all they said was update drivers for it and make sure to install the usb drivers for the mobo which I did. I noticed when i installed the programs on the CD for it on the family's comp that it has a couple desktop icons that I didnt get. But they were only product registration. Thanks
 
anyone know? seems like im the only one with this problem.
 
Honestly, I doubt it's a problem that can't simply be solved by doing the standard uninstall, reinstall, clean, lather, and rinse.
 
reinstall what? i reformatted, installed the program about 7 times, and repaired the zen's hdd.
