I have just recently received my Nokia N900. First of all I'm very impressed by it. I have many purchased it because of the browser supporting full flash. Heavy flash web pages lags quite a bit. Youtube videos is in low quality, you can switch it to high quality. I've tried HD but no can do. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Here's a picture of the Nokia N900. Sorry the battery died after I took this picture. I couldn't get a good picture. Haha.

How can a phone the caliber of a Nokia N900 not have a capacitive touchscreen!? I just dont get it...

There are some pro with resistive touchscreens. Its also one reason I bought it. I'm not a real big fan of finger only. I prefer to have the ability to use my phone with different objects such as my pencil/pen. The screen does scratch pretty easily when compared to capacitive touch screens, ex. iPhone.

If it supported AT&T 3G I would have one right now..

I have the $10 unlimited internet on this phone and its doing wonders. It's snappy. It's cheaper then the $30 for AT&T internet.

I have an N800. I'm glad to hear that you like your N900 thus far.

Problem for me was that there are no packages for Maemo and it's graphics are just a joke. Nokia frame buffered everything on the N770/N8x0. My N800 struggles to play videos that my underpowered symbian phone can chew through. It's just pathetic. Sorry, I won't be giving Nokia another dime until they start using Android with some proper hardware support.

I read somewhere that it is a decision of nokia for the primary home market, northern europe. Capacitive touch screens require the salts/conductivity of your fingers to work, hence, no gloves. Sweden, Finland etc... can have climate similar to Alaska. Making a phone that was useless without gloves would simply not work in many Scandinavian, European, and Asian countries.

I just ordered my N900 from Amazon and I'm looking forward to it. Maemo 5 is unlike any other OS, and the hardware is extremely powerful (more raw power than iPhone 3G) compared to many others. I'll be testing it out to see if it meets my needs and expectations.

So do you really carry that thing around full time as a "phone"? I thought it was the ~ same size as my old n810 which was very annoying to carry around all day.

This is the first of the line to have phone hardware, and is designed as a smartphone for linux using geeks. I read it is about the same size as the iphone3gs, but a bit thicker because of the hardware keyboard that slides out.
