I have the chance of picking up 1 of 2 Nokia 445xi's (one is the plus model) for $39 each. They are Class A and look pretty good. I've tried to do some research on these but haven't come up with anything solid. What do you guys think? $39 each is pretty hard to pass up.

Nokia 445xi 21" CRT...thoughts?

445Xpro owner here, and have done considerable research on the nokia brands, good news is they never turned out a truly crappy product comparatively speaking.
Well the "plus" version is capable of 1600x1200 @ 88hz which would mean minimal or no flicker, def a good start. That *may* be it's max resolution so keep it in mind. It's a shadow mask crt which doesn't say much since in and of itself. I can't find the true dot pitch, so i'll guess its either .25 or .26mm. I'm nearly positive the Plus verson is better than the non-plus but i'm not 100% on that one.
Will this person let you test and configure both before buying? If yes then bring along a copy of the nokia's monitor driver. The nokia monitor driver is important because it'll show all the compatible refresh rates (unlike windows crappy plug-and-play driver) Viewsonic's website has the nokia driver, just do a search at their support website. Seeing it in person will ultimately determine which one looks best, or is in better shape.
IMHO you should keep a close eye on the Plus model and devote more attention to testing that one. They'r both well worth $39 if they're in good shape, you might be able to cash in on some dual-monitor goodness on the cheap.
