Nokia 445Pro menu gets stuck

what can be done if the crt is just switching the menu on and off after every 48 seconds? like first shows the menu for 10 seconds and then waits exactly 48 seconds every time to show the menu for 10 seconds again...

i even disconnected the buttons cable from the inside of the monitor, thinking that it might have been some stuck buttons, but the menu still keeps poping up. although the only difference seems to be that before i disconnected the cable, it kept showing me the Max Contrast text, but after disconnecting the cable, it started to show the main menu.

so im guessing that the "+" button actually was stuck too or something, because the menu started over the Contrast text, so the "+" button always chose that (and maxed the contrast by itself too)

but why is the menu poping up all the time then and could i fix it somehow?
and im also guessing that when i remove the 2nd ribbon cable too, i cant switch the monitor on anymore then? or would it turn on each time when i plug the power cable in?...

my parent's CRT did something similar a while back. I just opened it up and disconnected the whole front panel. The power button was on a separate wire thankfully.

Then they got another monitor and we recycled that one.

ok thanks. at least im not the only one then...
but maybe i can try removing the power button too to get rid of the front board completely... although i probably need to find out first why does it need 3 wires for 1 on/off button...

Try turning the monitor off and on via power button in rapid sucssesion
