I have a storm enforcer with 2 x 220mm case fans that are running too loud even at idle. Is the only way to keep them quiet buying a fan controller? Any software that can do this? If now, can anyone recommend a reliable fan controller, preferable one that doubles as an SD card reader.
 
easiest option if you don't want a fan controller is to install an in-line resistor that reduces the fan voltage to 7v or 9v, lowering the fan rpm. (check frozencpu).

speedfan is a software option that may work. also, your BIOS may enable you to lower the fan speed.
