Hey guys I have my new build and I'm running a 2500k with an H100 in my 800D

Love the size of the case just amazing, I might setup a custom loop for my GPU(s) when I get enough money but for now I was wondering if you guys would recommend any noiseblocker fans as replacements on my H100.

I'm looking for a push/pull setup for keep me coolish @4.5-5GHz
 
Contemplating 4xNoiseblocker NB-Multiframe M12-P for a push pull on my H100 as well.
Only thing is, I have read that those fans sometimes have a slight wine to them if undervolted.
Someone else on here was saying that the mp12s or the more quiet ones, will not spin up when connected to the H100 fan controller as well.
 
Interesting I have one of the PLPS fans on me I will connect it to the controlling and see if it acts funny.
I also hear good things about Gentle Typhoons but I don't know if I should get 4 of them or not.

EDIT: It does change speeds when connected to the controller and I can only hear it when I have my ear is about 3-4" away from it at any give speed.

I have some on my H100, just two though since I can't do a push/pull config with out modding my case. They are really nice when it comes to looks, cooling, noise and build quality. The noiseblocker multiframe have rubber corners to absorb vibrations and also have a rubber frame addon to go inbetween the case/object you will screw them into.
Scythe typhoons are also quite and I bought one just out of curiousity. They are cheaper when compared to the noiseblockers and don't come with the extras like vibration absorbtion stuff. If I remember correctly the typhoon have a higher pitch noise while the noiseblockers have a lower pitch noise but they are both quiet.
There's also no need to connect them to the H100. For me it's best to connect them into the built in fan controler in the case. Doing so avoids the very loud H100 boot up sequence where it spins the fans really fast.

Both are good fans. ;)
 
i've been using NB fans for a year or two. had 3 on my old swiftech 320 radiator. have since moved those over to my new WC'ed system (4 on two dual 120 radiators).

i'm using the 'Noiseblocker Multiframe S-Series M12-S3' model and found them very quiet. attached an aquaero controller, they undervolt well and pretty much silent @ 60% and lower. tho i should mention, i'm using the fans in 'pull' configuration.

NB fans are a little more expensive than your standard 120 fare but one of the best fans on the market.
 
I saw the multiframe ones but I think the smoke black fans look better in the 800D and I also have one PLPS so I only need 3 more to complete it.
I was also thinking about changing out the 140mm fans that intake and exhaust.

Also if I put them on the H100 I wouldn't need the rubber pads.
 
I am not an expert when it comes to fans. If I purchase 4xNoiseblocker NB-Multiframe M12-P for my Corsair H100...will I be ok with the fans having a 4pin connector?
I would be hooking then up to my Lamptron Touch fan controller that only has 3 pin connectors. Can u even hook up a 4 pin fan to a 3 pin connector?
Sorry, dont know a whole lot about fans. Just want to make sure if I buy those fans, that I wont have problems running it since its a pwm fan.
Cant find the ap15's in stock anywhere btw.

Yeah you can connect them most have a 4th pin to control the fan speed but I guess 3 pin fans work too because they do on my H100
 
Best fan for undervolting while pushing air through a radiator is probably Noctua's new NF-F12. That fan has much higher static pressure than the P12 and similar speed AP14 from Scythe. But at ~$30 a pop and that beige brown color scheme... good luck.
 
That Noctura does look nice but I cant take the color anymore lol. BTW, what size screws are needed to push/pull fans on a h100, anyone know, or do the stock screws work ok. I went with the NB fans because I needed them before xmas.
 
Yeah Noctua makes great fans no doubt but that color really messes with my case.

You might need some extra screws for the fans that pull same size as the ones that came with to mount the bottom fans.
 
Which part of the Nuctua's do you guys hate more? The frame or the blade color? I have 8 120's in my case and i cant decide which is worse. lol

Im hesitant to paint them too, I dont wanna throw them off-balance.
 
Thanks. Yea I have extra screws, just wasn't sure if I needed to get some long ones.

As far as the Noc fans...I just don't like the color is all...and I would be hesitant to paint them as well although it had crossed my mind.
 
I've almost got the patented subaru WRX blue/gold thing kickin'

My 2 rads were blue from a previous build and now the noc's in push pull. Thinking about swapping in gt's
