Noise Isolator and Cold Cathodes

Hello everyone,
I had this controller I got from frozencpu, the "Noise Isolator." It controls the fans and has two on/off switches for cold cathodes. Currently, I have two sets of those lights connected to two inverters. For some reason, they died. Has anyone else had any problems with this particular controller or with their inverters?
Also, I don't know much about electricity and was wondering. If I splice another inverter onto a cable, what will be the effect to the two of them? THANKS
