Okay...

Just finished my brand new W/C setup....

Configuration = Res>Pump>Radiator>Cpu>Gpu1>Gpu2>Nb>Res

Alot to cool I guess... Problem is that I have 1 120mm radiator to cool this thing (and I want to keep it that way for space restrictions)... The Sunon 120 mm High Performance fan that I have to cool my loop sounds like an overhead stove vent... MAD annoying. And of course I have a 120mm case fan (intake).

The Sunon fan is rated at 107 CFM and 3600 RPM and is attached to my radiator in an outtake configuration.
Sys: Amd 4200+ X2, 7800 GT's (SLI), Asus SLI Premium

Temps:
CPU... idles @ 37 C....load @43 (Prime 95 Cpu burn test)
GPU 1 ... idles @ 40 C....load @ 46 C(during 3dmark05 and nVidia Nalu demo)
GPU 2 ....idles @ 41 or so... load @ 47 C ""
NB.... *shrugs*

These temps seem MAD high to me for a WC setup...Tried a Zalman fanmate 2 on the Sunon fan and brought it down to 7V..it got quiet but my temps jumped up at least 5 deg each at idle..

Questions:
#1 ... Would it work to configure my loop cooling with 2 low noise fans in a "push-pull" configuration to eliminate noise and get better temps?

#2 Is it better to expel hot air out of your system or to bring in cool air (If you had only 1 choice)?

go ahead and run push/pull with lower voltage.
those temps arent awful or anything.

Yeah reichstag has the right idea.... thats a LOT of heat to try to push out through one rad.

Get a second 120.1 and mount it at the front of your case maybe ? That way you could use reasonable fans too.

res>pump>rad 1[intake]>rad 2[exhaust]>blocks in any order>res
 
I know that its a little much to cool what I have with 1 120mm rad.. and your suggestions sound perfectly reasonable and would more than likely work. Its just that my case is ridiculously cramped on the inside so there's no room for an extra rad and I do not want anything on the outside of my case...

What about the push-pull method for the rad with slow spinning SilenX fans? Has anyone experimented with this?

What fans would be reasonable in push-pull config that will give me silence and decent cooling? SilenX, YateLoon, PanaFlo.... :confused:

Here's a shot of what I have...the quality heaves :( but I'll figure it out because I want to post some nice pics soon. Its the only pic I have so far, this was a test shot.

IF Your case is cramped, so why not try to mount it somewhere else, outside the case. This will most likely give the best results while keeping noise to the minimum

Your temps are not that bad considering how many blocks are in your loop. I have similar results from my AquaComputer loop except my CPU is lower temps. You can try more a better radiator like the Thermochill 120.2 or dual fans (push pull) but don't expect earth shattering improvements.


Get some good quality 120mm fans (I use AcoustiaFans) and you will HEAR a difference.

I want to pursue the push-pull method..and I'm interested in these AcoustiaFans you speak of...
Can you tell me more?
