NOD32 Question

I have been using NOD32 for a while now, with no problems. Today I brought it up to run a scan and noticed that IMON was disabled. I tried to enable it, but was unable to. Also, when I ran the scan I got this message saying that NOD32 could not scan the Master Boot Record portion of the physical disk:

"Error occured while scanning MBR sector of the physical disk. Error reading sector."

Anybody have any idea how I can re-enable IMON and if the MBR error message is significant?

To enable IMON:

1) Click on the IMON icon in NOD32

2) Click Setup

3) Enable teh first chechbox

Well I get this when I first run the NOD32 scanner:

c:\hiberfile.sys - error opening file (file locked)
c:\pagefile.sys - error opening file (file locked)

But I didn't get anything that mentions teh MBR

Those two files can't be scanned because they are the windows swap file and a similar file for storing hibernation states (I think, not entirely sure on the second). It is perfectly normal for those to be skipped over.

Run linux on your rig? or any operating system other then windows? If no, then put in a xp cd, home or pro what ever you have. Then boot off of it and go into the repair cousel. Type in fixmbr and restart. If you do, then linux and windows are having problems with eachother.

The box that you would click to enable and disable IMON does not respond to my inputs, so no luck there (I never turned it off, it just showed up as disabled one day and I can't get it back on.)

I've always received the pagefile.sys "error" message, and that isn't a problem, but this is the first time it has said anything about the Master Boot Record.

Nope, no Linux. I'll try the fixmbr, but why can't I re-enable IMON?

I've contacted NOD32 tech support, but haven't received a response. Anybody got any ideas?

EDIT: Hawk001's advice removed the MBR error message, but I still can't enable IMON. Help would be appreciated.

Got it fixed (a complete uninstall/reinstall after "repairing" winsock and tcp/ip).

Thanks to those who helped.
