The Noctua NH-U14S CPU cooler is on the test bench at Modders-Inc this morning. For comparison purposes, you can see our evaluation here.

Standing in stark contrast to the imposing titan that is the NH-D14, the NH-U14S is a picture of refinement and tempered stature. The nickel finished heatpipe count remains the same but the distribution is concentrated on a smaller space complimented by a radiator stack that channels airflow across purposefully.

I've had my U14S since July 2013 iirc...been an amazing part. Best mounting bracket and warranty ever! By far the most expensive air cooling solution I've purchased, it's proven to be worth every penny. I'm running mine on a 4770k @ 4.3, 1.15v. Keeps quiet and cool.

Nice evaluation! It would've been one more to convince me had it been posted back then.
 
Good review.

Have you considered monitoring / using the actual cooler intake air temperature instead of room ambient? I know room ambient is what most reviewers / testers use but the actual cooler intake air temperature varies with different coolers in same case while room ambient remains the same.
