Hello.

1) I know case fans are important, especially since I will be overclocking. But, how many case fans do I need? I was thinking of getting 2-3...

2) I realise the importance of having a good heatsink/fan for my CPU.
But with regards to Case fans... does the brand name actually make a difference? Does the difference in performance between cheap run-of-the-mill case fans and branded case fans justify the difference in cost? Sorry for my ignorance >.<

3) Can someone recommend some GOOD (and kinda cheap) case fans? I dont want the very super extreme best... but I dont want something crappy either.

Thanks for your time!

Anything with bearings. Otherwise, dust, pet dander, oxidation and all the other evil elements will kill a cheap bushing fan. In 3 months, I have already replaced 4 CPU fans on customers systems, all being cheap bushing fans. Of course keeping the inside of your case dust free helps alot too.

Brand name does matter, everyone loves Panaflos, Vantec, Enermax, Thermaltake, Coolermast ,all of them make good fans.
