I had this problem before I formatted, but if I used another player then it would work. It would also work after a restart. Now, since I had some time, I formatted and the problem still exist, but this time, there is no video on any player I use. Its only DVDs. I see just a bright pink screen, hear audio but no video.

Anyone know what this could be? This is on a dell i9300 laptop, everything stock except an upgrade in RAM.

Sure you have an MPEG-2 Decoder? Installing any DVD Playing Software (PowerDVD comes to mind) will usually install it. You can also check http://free-codecs.com/ for one. And lastly, you could check Nvidia and Download their trial PureVideo DVD Decoder.

Alternatively you can also try downloading VLC as that usually works with anything that won't work natively. Most of the times if it works in VLC and not in anything else its a codec issue. At least in my experience.
