no sound

i wasnt exactly sure on where to put this but since the video card was the root of it i posted it here. i got the BFG 6800gt for christmas and got home today from vacation hooked it up uninstalled drivers installed drivers as the manual said and everything works i played nsfu2 for a minute on full settings no problems only thing is i have no sound. when i go to play a song or somethin i get this error

i have the asus A7N8X-X motherboard with a built in sound card if that helps. Thanks

if you cant read it lol it says "Bad DirectSound driver. please instal proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error code: 88780078"

Have you tried reinstalling or updating your motherboard drivers? This will also reinstall the onboard sound card driver. Also, did you have an ATI card before this? If you did, did you make sure that all the ATI files were gone from your computer or used a program like Driver Cleaner 3?

naa it wasnt an ati card it was an nvidia and ill try installing the mobo drivers and see if it works. thx

ok i downloaded the drivers but i dont know how to instal them this is what they look like

and when i click the setup if thats the correct way i get this

Uh... you need to extract the zip first and then the setup executable can find the files.
