Hi everyone.

Im in strife with my terrible P5Q PRO and its realtek audio drivers again. I just bought a new bluetooth headset, the Avantalk AS1. I have paired it without problem, but i cant get any sound out of it. i understand that i just open my sound settings and change Realtek HD audio output to whatever the headset one is called.. but there is no other options there. Any ideas?

Im using XP x64 SP2 if that helps

Thanks in advance

is the headset charged and ready to go?

BT and so on and so on is enabled?

Yep, its charged, turned on and paired with bluetooth turned on. the problem is changing the sound output on my PC from speakers to headset

EDIT: I just noticed that the headset doesn't show up anywhere in device manager.. should it? I have "Default Bluetooth Radio" and "Default Bluetooth Enumerator"

try Bluetooth Radio and see what it does

honestly I don't have a BT headset for my PC, my mp3 player supports it, and its very straightforward, and I've used it for modem tethers with my laptop and PDA, but thats very simple (both have screens and show you whats happening)

what do you mean "try bluetooth radio"?
I cant switch audio to it. Its just a device in device manager related to my bluetooth dongle (i assume)

Seems like no one can help =(

In the mean time ive turned auto updates on to get my machine up to SP3 etc to see if that fixes it. No luck so far

still no one? well im fully up to date and still nothing. so i assume its a driver problem
