Hey guys, I recently put Windows 2000 Pro on my Dell Inspiron 5000e with ESS Maestro onboard audio. Here's my problem. Once I got Win2k installed I got Dell's Win2k driver for the onboard audio. Device Manager says the device is working properly but will not output sound. I've gone deep into the control panels for the onboard audio and it says the driver is incorrectly configured. I've tried re-downloading and reinstalling the drivers from Dell and from ESS themselves. No fix. PLEASE HELP GUYS. I'd like this laptop 100% working.
