No sound from Soundcard

I hope there was not a thread about this same problem, but there is please point me there. Well, my first problem with the ABIT AN7 motherboard was the install of windows XP on raid 0 SATA but some user put me on the right track.

I installed both the bundled drivers and windows XP updates and started checking things and I found out that there was no sound. I check the properties to make sure I was using the right output and I was. I check to make sure my headphones worked and they do. I Checked the latest Nvidia divers and that did help. I check BIOS for settings and things were set right. I really need someones opinion. Is this board dead are can I find a way to make it work?

ABIT AN7
AMD 2800+
1 GIG of OCZ ddr3200
Raid 0 Raptor drives
250 GIG WD drive on promise IDE controller
Plextor 708A burner
Windows XP SP1 with all updates

If its the onboard sound thats not working, it's not worth sending it all back.. just get a 10$ soundcard or something.

OR is it not onboard sound? I've got no experience with that mobo.
 
plz tell us if is onboard or not. If it is, try BIOS settings to enable it. If it isn't, well, some info on wat is is may be useful.
 
It is onboard but I got it working but I can't have the front jacks. This board is not on my A list. Thanks for replying.
