No sound, code10

The onboard chip works fine.
the card has code 10 error in hardware manager.

i think this happened after i swapped vid cards.
I reinstalled the latest drivers. and did a fresh windows install, no go.

old setup
soundcard works fine
onboard drivers not even installed.
old vidcard

new setup
8800GTS 512
soundcard stopped working
Sound card no go
installed onboard sound with new windows install, this works fine.

Whuch sound card? also you try getting the newest drivers off the site.

x-fi (regular one, but hey even i dont know which one that is since creative has 7 or 8 on their website)

yes, after it stopped working i did the latest drivers.
new windows install also has the latest driver.
everything new pretty much.

you have another computer that you can test the card in. could be possible that the card has died.
