Hey guys, I was tuning my pc to perfection inside my case today.. added a badass hyer 6 with dual thermaltake smartfan 2 which moved ALOT of air.... anyways I rewireed everything and stuff and it lo0oked heela great... but I didn't insert my AGP card correctly... my dear 6800Ultra.... I didnt get any signal when I powered up.. but everything powered up just fine.. but no signal.. I then took off my side panel....jsut to see that y 6800ultra's fan was not moving..and the card itself was not powered up....
a reset and I smell a puff of smoke.. coming right underneath the videocard and I even stuck my nose in there..and it was from the videocard.. or as I thought it was.. I was shaking in my pants... BIG TIME.... then I took it out and put it in my emachine system which I toss my old antec psu in..and it worked!!! OMFG was I happy or WUT!!!
So Can you guys help me with what's wrong? I am thinking the AGP SLOT of burnt... and DEAD.... even tried another card in there and still no go.... I know my cpu is working and everything else since they all power on and eevrything.. except the videocard.. So an RMA with my motherboard is the first thing to do right? since the v/c is not dead and everything... thank god gigabyte has a fast rma service...
