"No Signal" Message on Screen

I have a computer that worked fine for 2 years and then all of a sudden it just stops. I mean it powers on fine, but on the screen it says "No Signal".

I went ahead and tried a new video card and lcd, but I get the same problem so it is not those. I tried disabling the hd and cd-rom and all extra PCI cards and get the same issue.

All thats left is the cpu, motherboard, ram. I tried resetting the cmos, same issue.

The odd thing is my keyboard lights flash for a second and then turn off, never coming back on. I think I remember them coming back on.

I even tried taking everything out of the case and trying it on a mat, just in case something in the case was short circuiting it, but nothing.

When I remove the video card and try to reboot I don't even get a beep. I am pretty sure if the computer doesn't find a video card it beeps at boot, does it not? It just seems no matter what I do it doesn't find the video card. Tried AGP and PCI.

Any idea????
 
I have 2 sticks of ram, tried each one individually same issue. So I doubt it is the ram.
 
you did pretty much all I'd think off.. it won't hurt to try different PSU.. also try the vid card in another system (I know you did try different vid cards tho..). And try powering your system without CPU inserted - if you won't get any beeps it means there's something really wrong with your mobo..
 
I would check out your PSU to see if your getting enough power.and check out your monitor cable to see if anythings wrong with the pins.
 
I bought a new motherboard and that seemed to fix the "no signal" issue.

However, I now have ANOTHER issue.

I re-installed my OS after getting the new motherboard and it worked fine and I started to install the drivers for my TV tuner when they computer re-booted and when trying to reboot it I get the stupid "file is missing or corrupt" error message. So I reformat, now I can't even get into the graphical section of the OS installation. It installs the 1st part fine in DOS, but when it tries to reboot and do the 2nd part in Windows I get the error message. I tried both Windows 2000 and XP so it is not the disk.

The vagualy reminds me of a problem I once had with a faulty CPU. This also reminds me of a problem I had with a faulty HD.

I am pretty sure it would be either the CPU or HD and basically everything else once worked in another computer.

What do you guys think?
