No "repair" option when running XP setup.

Normally, this seems to be caused by some weird overlay on OEM computers, but it's rather frustrating to work with as I have to do a good number of repair installations of the operating system.

Does anyone know of a way to possibly return this option?

Use nLiteOS to create a custom Windows XP CD. In the Unattended Setup window, you can choose different setup options. One of them is "Prompt Repair"--choose that and it will prompt for repair regardless of what the OEM wants you to do. As a general rule of thumb, this should only be done on a fully updated Windows XP SP2 cd with all the updates. Attempting to do a repair install with older updates on the CD than what the system actually has will result in many errors about 'missing' files (they're not missing, just not a new enough version).

Prompt repair is enabled by default in setup, so this is not an option. For the record, I have created several slipstreamed OS discs before and the problem still exists.
