no PS vs PS3.0

PS3.0 is mainly for the benefit of the developers... so certain effects may be easier to do...

i don't think there will be a HUGE difference in graphics quality.. just probably better performance in certain cases.

Seriously, people on the Nvidia fence are overplaying PS3 and people on the ATI fence are underplaying it. If the NV40/R420 have comparable performance and similiar IQ, you'd better damned well believe PS3 support will become a purchasing factor. However, if the R420 puts the bitchdown on the NV40 I could care less if the NV40 cuts my milk for me, I just won't get it regardless of all the spiffy flop it supports. Of course if the NV40 puts the bitchdown on the R420, yay, we'll end up getting the best of both worlds [with a price premuim to go with it unforetunetly...oh well....I've accepted my fate of dishing out $500 for a top-end card and don't have the energy left to fight it].

I just haven't seen anything that proves 3.0 is all that. I hope ps3.0 is all of that and a bag of chips. Just means I will get more for my money when I buy the 6800.

In the same way ps2.0 was the coming of christ for ATI fans for a over year.

Even when people like you say "yet there are a lot of games that do not have ps2.0 in them yet. That should be a hint for you right there"

ati fans are as bad as nvidiots so I won't comment or back them up.

But there was a difference between 1.1 and 2.0. That is not arguable. That was proven. 2.0 and 3.0 has not been proven yet. When it does I will include it in my calculation on my next purchase.

because you didn't even read the paragraph under the pics you posted, you just saw 2 pics with two LOD's and ran here as fast as you could to post them, then ended up looking foolish. That and every other post that you have made has been generally pro nvidia, anti-ati and anti H. 2+2=4
