I got new RAM today and replaced my old RAM with it, but when now when I boot up my computer, although everything seems to be running, all the lights are on everything is plugged in and the computer seems to be booting up normally except that I have no picture. I've tried putting the old ram back in, I've tried using different video cards but I still get no picture. It occurred to me that I could have shorted something but not the video card since all 3 cards I tried didn't work. Could I have shorted something else out? how could I tell?

My experience with computer hardware is limited to basically installing new parts but I've never had a problem like this before. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you getting beep codes? Do you get the good POST beep? Have you tried a new monitor? Or made sure your monitor is turned on? :p

The monitor is definitely plugged in correctly :D. There is no extra beeping, its as if the computer were booting up like it has everyday before this.

Have you reset the cmos ?

Try booting without the memory in.
Do you get the bios beep codes for bad memory ?

Try the same trick without the vid card in.
Do you then get the beep code for a bad vid card ?

Luck........... :D
