No PC Dead Space 2

im sure if it has spectacular sales they will finish it on the pc. Gears of War and GTA IV was never supposed to have a pc release either as far as i remember, but we got them, im sure more titles im not thinking of. I have yet to play one, but i got it on the steam sale. mainly as i prefer multiplayer over single player.

Yeah there's another pretty big one.

Published by Microsoft Game Studios, Mass Effect is exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game system.

Here's a message to the game developers (especially at EA):

Hey, it's not that hard to port it to the PC.. Remember Condemned 2, the sequel to Condemned: Criminal Origins? Well, the sequel was a consoles-only game, and did not sell very well. I think that the fact that it's also available on the PC does help to promote public awareness of the game. It's kinda like advertising--if PC gamers and reviewers talk about it, it could make the game have a much greater appeal across all platforms.

Remember Spore (EA's huge success)? Only the PC version of Spore was really good, and worthy of talking about, so it really gained all of the publicity needed to sell the crappy console versions. My kids saw how good and fun the PC version was (after playing it on my rigs), and they wanted one so badly for their Wii and also their DS. I rented it once for the Wii just to show them how bad it is, and they definitely agreed! The point is that a good PC version did a lot to help the console sales of a game that really did not work for consoles.

If you can make Dead Space 2 even better than the first one, it will be a super-hot game for the PC, trust me. It's been so long since Doom 3 and we have all been craving such a good Doom-like game, and just Dead Space 1 is not enough. Please also make a high-res texture version for the PC game especially. You could use two DVD's for the Xbox360 version (like with Mass Effect 2) if you need room for all of those high-res textures, or just compress them for that console. Heck, you could do a massive 3 or 4 DVD's version for the PC if you really want to keep the pirates away (and also make a blu-ray version to gain even more attention, like UT2004 with its special DVD version)?

I really liked Dead Space and do think that if DS2 is any better, it would be right up there with Doom 3 in terms of popularity, first for the PC gamers and then for the rest of the console gamers.

Please spread this message around if you think it could do any good to convince the developers, thanks.

First one was horrible... good riddance.

Lots of people seemed to really like the first one. It was the first really scary game in a good while (more scary than Doom3). I think I'm among the majority who loved the game.

It was horrible in the sense you had to muck around with the Nvidia control panel to even get the game playable, and then Visceral/EA never bothered to release one single patch to correct the issues with v-sync, sluggish controls and input lag.

All these issues were easily solvable, most PC games these days require some tinkering to get them to work better. DS is no different.

You knew this was coming. PC gamers have been given the shaft for for 10 years now. We all wish it could still be the year 2000 but it's not anymore. It's the age of consoles and we continue to spend hundreds on videocards with nothing new to play on them.

Well I guess you're not too bothered about DS anyway Spair-Flair.

Aren't 3rd prson perspective games your pet-hate? (IIRC)

Only 113 signatures so far

That's because most people know that petitions and online petitions never work.

I've been seeing people all excited about DX11 and such and I'm thinking: What for? For a bunch of console ports? I'm keeping my GTX 280 SSC until it dies in my face. No incentive to upgrade whatsoever for me.

Yeah, you're right of course. 200,000+ sigs for MW2 DS support and no luck.

Petition is up to........

114 now :)

YRC (you recall correctly?) :)

But I still hate the trend because if a hit like deadspace gets shafted, then other franchises will be just as soon to follow.
