I am having some problems overclocking my socket 939 3200. I am running an ASUS A8V deluxe mobo the 939 3200 chip and using 1 gig Twinmos 3200 memory. I also have a radeon 9600 pro (sapphire need new one
). I cannot get pas stock speed when I do I am either getting random reboots or pc freezes up. The CPU and MOBO are newly bought the mobo being B Grade ( I have my doubtsa about the functionality as it has been sent away for repair and sold to me as B Grade). There is no post beep and the onboard sound seems corrupt I can hear kind of like electrical noise when the pc is not producing any sound. I can also bizarrely hear my mouse wheel kaming some sort of electrical noise when i use the scroll wheel. This is very hard to explain about the noise.
Anyways, I am considering going to get a brand new mobo because I would have thought I could get at least 2.2 or 2.3 gig
. This was the reason I went for this chip in first place because ofthe overclocking potential. I had an amd 2500 xp before and had that running at 2.3 for years without a single problem. I also dont know if I am doing the OC correctly I have read and read about the HTT and still am a bit confused about it really..
Wonder if someone can amybe point me in the right direction
Thanks in advance.
Oh btw the chip is running at 30 degrees idle and about 34 full load.
