Got an eVGA GTX 460 1GB. Installed Windows 7 64-bit and newest Nvidia drivers. I'd like to send audio over HDMI to my receiver but I don't see any way how to. 4 "Nvidia High Definition Audio" are listed in Device Manager but not in the sound settings. Only my Audigy 2 is listed as a playback device. So it's also not available in MPC-HC's output settings.

In the Nvidia driver files there's a hdaudio_1.0.15.0_xp_vista_win7.exe file, which I tried to run, but doesn't seem to do or install anything.

How do I output sound via the video card's HDMI port?

When I originally had my nVidia card I had to download the windows updates. It seems that nVidia is distributing the hdmi audio driver through there. Try it its worth a shot! HTH

Well I reformatted, but this time Windows Update doesn't offer the driver. Same problem as last time. The driver was definitely selected during the video card driver install. Everest find it and lists it as a PCI/PnP Audio device, but it's not listed in sound settings or Media Player Classic Home Cinema
