Is there a source for this information?

the link is down right now (at least for me) but this is where I read about it initially. http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=6247

ATI cant be bothered to make their products RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant, which seems right now only a European Union (environmental) law. Until Canada/USA/Mexico passes legislation of something along the same lines, I doubt ATI will kill off their AIW line to North America as well.

that makes sense, who needs analog tuners when all you need is vivo to input signals from
mutiple digital sorces(digital cable, direct tv, broadcast hd)

I wanna make a note thi is for EUROPE ONLY, it will still be made and developed in NORTH AMERICA, plusthe AIW cards fit perfectly with the AMD LIVE branding which amd will be using ati to help them out with.
