Just bought Mass Effect over the weekend on Steam deal for $9.99. When I go to adjust the graphics to my monitors native res.. 1920x1080, the damn option isn't even there. the best it gives me is 1280x1024. WTF. I know you can run it at that res but why is there no option for it?

running latest nVidia drivers.. 191.07 on 9800GT SLi and Win 7.

Not sure what is going on there, I play ME at 2560x1600. The scroll bar was not very obvious when first I tried it, did you scroll all the way to the end of the list? Stupid question I know, but it has caught a few people I've talked too. It does not scroll with the mouse wheel, you have to manually drag it.

EDIT: Does the Steam version have the little configuration utility you can start up separate? I remember having to select 16:10 in there before it would show my native res.

I fired up my steam version to check for you and its there, you need to scroll down to see it and select it

Ok guys.... you were ALL right. I didn't see the small arrows to scroll down to the 1920x1080 res. Feel a bit dumb. Works and looks terrific now.

Don't worry, happened to me. And if you've never played ME, have fun, I'm almost done with my second play through... AMAZING GAME!

Heh.... make sure to play through twice, at the least... once for Paragon, once for Renegade... and KEEP THOSE SAVES... because ME2 reads them in when it launches, so the storyline will be continued with all the decisions made along the way.

And as this is your first play of Mass Effect.... you are in for one hell of a ride. Possibly one of the best games ever made, ever. I put it easily in the top 10 PC games ever released, if not the top 5

How does the game run on your HD4670?

Great, play at max graphics with maybe 2aa or 0aa at 16x10. Wish I could crank up the AA though. Only time I get noticeable frame lag is when I'm driving around in the mako and It's really dusty or windy. Otherwise never had a problem!

That's unfortunate, it wasn't that long ago that I deleted those saves. Last time I kept up with Mass Effect 2, they were simply going to continue with the storyline in a pre-determined way. Ah well, I'll have to play again :D
