No Kernel Streaming with Santa Cruz

Does anybody know why I can't use Kernel Streaming in Foobar with my Santa Cruz sound card? I was able to with no problem when I was using the Revo 7.1
 
Kernel streaming can be funny sometimes. Try eliminating all DSPs. Try resampling to verious bitrates and wordlengths.
 
Some sound cards (like most sound cards which have neither 24-bit nor 32-bit support - your Santa Cruz is limited to 16-bit depth) support neither ASIO nor Kernel Streaming. Their drivers send everything to the Windows Kmixer (aka Kmangler) no matter what you do.

In addition, which bit depth did you have it set at?
 
guess i'm gonna have to sell my santa cruz. not only can I not use kernel streaming, but it doesn't have the "speaker bass management" that the revo had, meaning that the bass is too much, even with it all the way down.
 
on the Revolution the bass management only works if the subwoofer is on it's own connection. most pc multi-media speaker systems don't have a discreet subwoofer connection.
anyway, the bass is too much for the soundcard or the speakers? Also, are you adjusting the bass from the santa cruz's equalizer or the volume of subwoofer?
in regards to kernel streaming not working with the santa cruz, you might have to adjust the bit depth of the output.
