I just installed the GPU3 client for my GTX460 and it does not have the old console window just the graphical one? is this the way it is supposed to be?

How do I get it like the old version?

its a system tray client, not a console client. so your pretty much screwed.. :D tray clients better anyways.

Windows XP/2003/Vista/7 GPU3 (required for Fermi) System tray client with special viewer for NVIDIA GPU's (installer msi).

Yah their website is confusing, it got me too.
They list the system tray client on the main high perfomance page (or whatever they call it) but I never could find the console.
Finally found a post in the forums that had a link to the console client. Sheesh....

The site is horribly designed and just one thing about this project that needs a massive overhaul. Trying to find something can be a needle in a haystack.

Is anyone else having issues uploading GPU3 results today?

A couple of servers were down earlier, not sure if they were GPU3 or not - I'll have a quick look and try and find out.

Re the website - a lot of things wont be needed with v7 - its supposed to be a unified client so just one download for each OS so i doubt that the downloads page will get much TLC in the near term.

I would also suspect that v7 may move away from console clients, especially for windoze

They must still be down because I have several queued WUs in every one of my GPU3 clients. My 4 GPU2 clients have been operating as normal.

I prefer the console client probably because it's what I've been using for close to a decade. I did try the tray client when GPU2 was released. It was nice and I realize some its advantages, but I guess I'm a die hard, LOL.

does it make a difference which one to use?
No. Use whichever is more convenient for you. I prefer the tray client since it's easy to pause and resume the client whenever I want, and it's also one less thing sitting in my taskbar.

Hmm, based on what Vijay posted everything is fixed, which server are they trying to contact as my single gpu3 client is ticking along nicely?

The WUs uploaded about an hour ago.
