And it makes me a sadddd panda. :( :( I played q4... pile of shit.. Fear. Another flaming pile. Is call of duty 2's multiplayer good. OR should i go get battlefeild 2??
 
Thats a tough call....

I have all 3 games.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of CoD:Source. That and CS I could play all day. It's fast paced, and a little bit different everytime.

BF2 is great but buggy... I'm really not fan. Compartively, in CS I feel like I can make a difference for my team, while with BF2 I feel insignificant?

WC3 however, worries me. Whenever I start playing that game I fear that I'll never get off. It's HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. I quit playing for that exact reason, I like having a social life.

It's a matter of taste.

I BEEN PLAYING ut since it came out.. lol I dunno. I want a NEW game.

And the only new games are those. quake 4, fear and bf2.......So like are any of them EVEN WORTH MY VERY SEXY TIME.???? :confused: :confused:
 
Call of duty had a fairly good multiplayer, and I can't imagine it's done anything but improve with the new installment.

Warcraft III (get good and it's fun as hell, only game that could get my heart racing) & of course WOW on a pvp server

yeah it is, they just need to release some more maps, custom maps are alright but I want to see some new maps with hdr.
 
Hey Ron, I dunno what system you are running, but I agree that Quake 4 MP is laggy, with a weaker system. I started Q4 MP running a amd 2500 barton oc'd to 3200, with a gig of 400 ram and a 9800 pro 128. Every other game including HL2 was just fine in MP with this machine, but when I hit Quake 4 MP, it turned to shit. Framerates were low even @ 800x600 with everything low and off, including some config editing to help boost framerates...

Now, with the computer in my sig, Quake 4 MP doesn't lag, nor do I feel like its choppy, and I can run it with medium to high settings and still rarely drop below 60 fps. The game has turned right around for me now. I was really frustrated in MP with the other machine b/c I had to make it look like crap for it to be playable, and I still had shitty fps...

I've also seen some cfgs that make quake 4 look like quake 1, if you want a serious competitive cfg to use when playing. All I can say is a system that can produce 60 fps almost all the time will have a huge advantage over people playing on systems that can't hit 60 fps continously.
 
I just got Call of Duty 2 yesterday. I'm liking the multiplayer, so far. I've been playing the FEAR multiplayer, too. It's pretty fun for me, but I'm not nearly as good at it as I am the Call of Duty games. BF2's been shuffled to the back of the queue since I got those two. Don't like any of the Half Life or CS games, though.
 
My vote is for BF2....its sucked up 100 hours of my time so far...

I cycle between CS:Source, BF2, DoD:Source, and UT2004
 
I still play 1.6 and warcraft 3. Along with Halo 2 on the xbox, it's plenty of very good multiplayer action.
 
MAYBE I ask for 2 much. But I think ut has it right. GAmes should just update every 2 or 3 years.....Each year remaking the game and adding alot to it.

I dunno. As for me... I play UT,ut2004,,,(DUR) cs s just pisses me off. Warcraft 3...umm no thanks. I'm a starcraft freak. I still love playing that game. I tried WOW. No my thing. Cool game just too slow and boring for me. Tried the bf2 demo. But i heard the game is buggy....So i don't know if i wanna waste my money on it. Quake 4 just didn't feel tight to me. ANd tried a fear multiplayer demo. Ya.......i can see that lasting for like a week.

I guess I have to wait till ut2007 comes out. Other then that nothing is coming out this holiday season :mad:
 
I have played BF2 for about 400 hours. It has MANY annoying bugs, but if you are willing to put up with some frustration and balance issues...get it.

yea i have to go with BF2 i played it over 100 hours or so its a great game muliplayer is 1 of the best

being a hardcore UT fan i know how you feel, its really hard to get into another multiplayer game, UT99 is stil my favorite multiplayer game of all time, even though i dont play it anymore, the community was just awesome.
 
bf2 is a great game indeed, CS:S,DoD:S,Wolfenstein enemy territory. All these have pretty good multiplayers
 
BF2 FTW.

If you like 1 on 1 or just mindless fraggin', FarCry is multi-fun for that type of FPS.
 
I'm looking forward to Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. I hope it stays similar to Wolfenstein: ET.

Someone needs to remake the Threewave CTF maps and put a grappling hook in Quake 4 multiplayer.
 
i have to say BF2, spent over 250 hrs on it... strong contender for multiplayer of the year, if not counting WoW :D
 
been dying for a long long time, it was the worst when you dont play for a few months and you go back and everyone is gone. i loved the zp| insta-gib CTF scene
 
dod source is great i have been playing that a ton the last few weeks since it came out... awesome graphics and runs good for looking so nice.. definitely u shuold buy it

Yea, the support that WoW gets puts BF2 to shame. New content all the time, bug fixes, an actual human in-game technical support help. Great stuff that puts Dice/EA to shame...SHAAAAMMEE

Too bad I just prefer jets and guns to swords and mounts :D

Would you pay 10$/month to play BF2 if it was bug free and they added content? I wouldn't.

I definately would pay a monthly fee if they added content regularly and had a better bug-fixing.
