No Dual Channel RAM ???

my friend just bought an MSI K7N2 Delta and 2 sticks of 256mb Patriot pc3200 RAM and i cant seem to get it to run in dual channel. if i put it in a single channel config then it works fine but if i set it up for dual all i get is one long beep at boot. now i dont remember what all the beep codes are, but im guessing that is a ram error, right?? so what gives, am i missing something??
 
The board is pretty picky about the mem it likes.
I had the same problem untill I flashed the latest bios.
Now all is as it should be:D
