The Bestec that came with my eMachine T1801 supposedly died a few months ago. I jsut want to make sure before I start tearing it apart for its fan. One day I was surfing the net and all of a sudden the circuit breaker was tripped and the computer shut off. I went to turn it on and nothing happened. Anyway, the only reason I am even bothering asking is because if you unplug it and plug it back in a little green light on the back of it will light up for a second and then go away. Is there anything I could do to try and fix it somehow or is it completely gone? It is a micro ATX PSU.

I'd say its gone. But that is weird that it lights up for a second which means it is getting power. Maybe there is a short somewhere? Maybe try a different power cord to plug it in and see if that works?

Already ahead of you on that. I tried a different power cord immediately. It is a shame because it was a great computer but I don't know if I want to invest any money in it. Maybe if I owned a multimeter and actually knew how to use I could find the short but I am not too knowledgable when it comes to electronic parts on a circuit board.
