No BIOS/Bootup with Apple 20"

I figured this might be a problem...I'm getting nothing on my new Apple 20" LCD screen until Windows loads. I'm using DVI on a Sapphire Radeon 9600XT. Are there any settings I can check?

Also, I'm building a new system in a week...are there any brands of vid cards that seem to work well with the Apple screens? Thanks!
 
Don't know about video cards that POST on the apple... but most don't. If you want to see the POST screens, I think you have to hook it up through VGA.

The Apple can't hook up via VGA - it's DVI only. It's weird, my roommate's standard 9600 POSTS on my ACD via DVI - not sure what brand it is though. I've heard this being much more common a problem with the 5700 line. Try a new video card BIOS? I can almost assure you that the X800 and the 68/6600 cards will POST DVI. I haven't heard of a case where they don't.
 
sidane: thats bizarre, i have the same video card with a 20" ACD but it POSTs just fine. i think way back when i might have flashed its BIOS though...still...odd.

You mean the 6600 in PCI-E or the AGP version? Do they make any difference?
Anyone using 6600GT AGP on ACD? Do some brands of 6600GT don't show POST?

I have the AGP 6800GT, AFAIK, all the 6xxx cards support DVI POST, regardless of model and AGP/PCIe.

Did you get the native resolution of the 20" ACD? 1680x1050. My NVidia doesn't come with that option.

What is forceware? Do you mean updating the latest Nvidia driver will give you that option?? What version is your driver? Thanks.
