I've got maybe an 800 PpD advantage on srigg and a 1700 PpD advantage on owkia, but a couple of day days with machines down and I'm getting run over.

I've got the excuse (new job), but I have to wait for the first consulting checks to come in before I can buy all of them. I'm hoping I don't have any bad days until then. It'll probably be two to three weeks before I can purchase my farm.

Hey capreppy, look at it this way, if the ladies are allowed "bad hair days" then folders should be allowed "bad pernt days"

On the serious side though, I haven't read about any problems with pernts and I forget who it was that said they had never lost any of their pernts for the many moons they had been folding.

Bottom line: Don't get your shorts in a twist capreppy, you'll get your freakin' pernts eventually if Stanford happens to be slow updating them. Besides anyone with any sense that might be on your threat list already knows this.

I don't have the fundage yet to get the UPS that I want. So if it goes down while I'm out of town on biz, then it stays down until I get back. I tried to explain to my wife how to turn it on and what to do once and her eyes glazed over

ha ha, from what I understand you ain't worried about no "auto on" with the fine lady you're married to, your worried about the "auto off" if she starts complaining even if she's right.

On the UPS thing, I don't know about people like you that have server rooms , but us ordinary people with just a few boxen just pick up used "high quality" UPS's from fleabay and hope the bats ain't DOA.

holy chit capreppy, I didn't see the bad news about the pernt thing that brother Tobit has posted here. I didn't mean to fib to you about the pernts not having any problems

The only excuse I can come up with is I could care less about the pernts and I don't ATM regularly visit the pernts page ([H]ard forum folding site) unless I'm getting a copy of the stats banner. (and on rare occasions for something else)

That'll drastically change when the "Chimp Challenge" begins. I'll check the stats often so I can gloat about "smokin'" our lame competition

If I could get a nice stream of 26xx work units I'd have almost 6.5k PPD. Luck you though, I decided to start messing around with my OC today at 5am and ended up hosing my last 2653 WU that my Windows client had. Now I'm stuck with two 30xx work units and am getting less than 5k PPD between all of my machines. If I keep them coming in at a nice rate the Hardfolding site will actually catch up to the PPD that I should be getting. It'll probably max out around 5-5.5k PPD.

hmmm. I was planning to do a large purchase of Q6600s in 8 to 10 weeks. I might have to purchase one real damn soon just to keep you boys off my a$$. $500 will get me one dedicated folder and add 4500 PpD. That'll bring my PpD over 10K. Then when the fundage is available, I'll buy the other 9 that are going into dedicated folders and the rigs I'm building for my consulting business.

It's bad enough for the adults in the opposing teams believing in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny and the Good Witch of the West, but to believe you could actually produce pernts equal or even close to the [H]orde folding team 33 in the "Chimp Challenge" is totally and insanely un freakin' believable. Just look at the dedicated members on the team like capreppy above.

I won't be doing any running over any time soon.

Not so sad, actually. I'm just busy getting Vista set up on my main rig so folding has been up and down periodically. I'm going to take a small hit on points over the weekend.
