No audio device shown(drives nt installin

I have a Soyo P4I 845PE (Lite) mobo. I reinstaled WinXP pro on to a new HD. Now its not showing any Audio devices. I tried reinstalling the driver from Soyo's website, But it on goes to 94% then stops. And windows cant find any hardware to install the drivers. Please help I wanna play Doom. Thanks Chris

Yes it was. I just reinstalled windows, I found out it didnt copy good.

I'm still having the same problem. I havent installed SP2. I'm trying to install the audio driver from Soyo's website and it gets to 94% and then locks up and stops responding. And windows cant find the drivers for it even with the cd in. Any Ideas, I also tried this with Sp2 and it did the same thing. THanks

It's just showing Yellow question marks for everthing. usb controllers and everythign else.

Install your chipset drivers first.... then your audio drivers should install

Tried that, THat was the first driver I installed. i'm ready to just go buy a sound card tomrow.

Anything that will let me play Doom3 i havent played it in 3 days going nuts@@!!!

An Audigy 2 OEm would be a decent choice.

Well went to the local computer store, Bought a real cheap sound card and now its working fine. Got sp2 in and everything is a ok.

Have you considered slipstreaming SP2 into your XP cd?
It makes the whole format and re-install process a lot easier.
