Nix the thread description mouseovers

[pointdexterish]

The javascript mouseovers that show up when looking at a list of threads is incredibly annoying! The mouseover shows the first few sentences of the thread.. but the constant popups are annoying as hell. I can't think of any good reason to keep this in. It must increase load on the thread listings besides.

meh, i don't mind it

[Garion]

I agree - they are pretty distracting. Any way to turn them off?

Any way to turn them off?

It's possible, just a matter of whether or not Kyle wants to.

[Sparky]

/me dont like them either.

[FlipperBizkut]

I'd have to say that I think they are pretty annoying too.

[cirial]

Yep, they are annoying.. I say turn them off too

[thewhiteguy]

another vote for TURN THEM OFF plz

[Lowbatt]

Voting for the off side. I keep clicking a link and when the new pages loads the javascript description is still there. Then I goitta click to get rid of it. It's not like its killing me but I'd rather not do it. This is in Firefox BTW.

[mungbean]

Driving me mad too.

[FrgMstr]

Yeah, I hate them as well...

[FrgMstr]

John is turning them off now...

[Format _C:]

I say get rid of them

[Tordek]

Hey...

I never got to try the jscript thing...

Kyle, why dont you put it back up for a while. The forum hasn't repopulated as it was before. Many people may have different opinions than the ones stated in this thread. And the thread is not that big to begin with so you should maybe wait and see what other people think...

Who knows, maybe i would hate the java thing but i wish i could have at least tried it...

[Tanis143]

Bleh, glad its off. I've been to a few forums that tried it, and it was nixed almost as quickly.

BE GONE JSCRIPT POPUPS!

[bgoodman]

funny, the forum I run we specifically left them on for 56k users. haven't gotten any complaints either.

[pointdexterish]

Thanks for taking care of that
