Considering the cost of the flashlight is below the cost of a real one of those led bulbs, it's probably based on the new chinese copy of the Luxeon.

AAA batteries are also incredibly short lived, the biggest you can get them in NiMH is only 1000mah vs 2500mah for AA.

looks nice, for the money. i bet it would be better than the 8 led flashlight i bought for $7 a couple months ago.
